Two books & A Constitution...

Two books & A Constitution...

Every once in awhile I come across a book worthy of recommending. Recently I fishined a book in this category. It has a lot to say about the Constitution of the United States, the making of the Republic, and the moral and spiritual elements necessary to pull off and maintain such a government. The author, Os Guiness, points out that it is the "habits of the heart" that the Framers relied upon to uphold a governable society. His mantra is this: "Freedom requires virtue. Virtue requires faith. Faith requires freedom." This "Golden Triangle" is required in any society and government if the governed are going to be fruitful, successful, happy, and blessing their fellow citizens.

I find, too, that the Discoverer of Christian Science relied upon the "habits of the heart" in her fulfillment of the Church Manual. In bringing forth Christian Science to the aid of mankind she rested on this same Golden Triangle. Only through freedom, virtue and faith do we find the teachings of Christ Jesus demonstrable.

The Consitution of the United States gives all mankind a blueprint for society's governance. The Church Manual of The First Church of Christ, Scientist gives all mankind the blueprint for church governance. Together they solve society and church governance and issues, and they lay out a path for mankind to rise to its zenith.

They are both worth a read... enjoy!
