Her offer was all it took!

Her offer was all it took!

Everyone knows it’s stressful enough to fly the skies as it is. Throw a dad flying solo at Christmas with an 8-month-old into the mix, and you’re looking at the kind of stress that would make someone curl up into a ball and cry.

Little man was doing well on his second flight ever, hanging out on dad’s lap. But it wasn’t long before he decided he was more interested in his neighbor sitting in the window seat than he was in cuddling with dad.

“After brief introductions and him fighting me trying to crawl over to her, she opens her arms and says ‘oh just give him to me!’” The dad wrote on Facebook.

And her offer was all it took!

“Not 60 seconds later he puts his head down on her chest and falls asleep!”

She then proceeded to tell the dad that if he wanted to take a quick nap, she would hold the child so he could catch up on some sleep.

Being seated next to each other made these three neighbors in proximity. But it was the woman’s kindness that showed love to her two neighbors.

Love has its source in God, in fact real Love is God, as St. John teaches.

Real love, -- love that loves each other as God loves us

permeates our entire being. We see and feel Love, God, through His essential qualities:

strong affection, pure attraction, tenderness, admiration, benevolence, assurance, holy attachment, enthusiasm, fidelity, devotion, unselfishness, loyalty, a fatherly concern (love) of God for man, a brotherly concern for others, a motherly concern for Her children, and adoration.

These are just

some

of Love’s essential qualities.

Love is the nature of God, and... Love is the nature of man, God's creation.  This is why, as God's child, we are able to express love, "Because he first loved us" (I John 4:19).  So, t

here is never a moment when we are justified in being unloving, because true love for God and for man stipulates that all actions and all thoughts stem from divine Love, God, then, whatever actions or words are required in order to straighten out a situation can be used to adjust the wrong to right.

Divine Love expressed in the human experience is seen through the essential qualities. It is always based on morality because we cannot grow spiritually unless we first grow morally.

Morality is the foundation of spirituality.

The Ten Commandments, the Sermon on the Mount,  the Golden Rule, the Matthew Code are all teachings of morality. We find moral instruction throughout scripture from Genesis to Revelation. Scripture teaches not only the statement of how to live morally and spiritually, how to conform the human to the divine, but also

why

we would want to live and conform to both moral and spiritual law.

Why?

Because it makes us happy and protects us!

Some sections of scripture may be unpleasant or alarming, -- yet those very sections are pictures of lack of ethics run rampant and the consequences of self-will, self-desire, selfishness.

Other sections of scripture give us hope, light, encouragement, healing, these passages prove morality is stretching above itself to spirituality and paving the way for healing.

We have only to turn to scripture to learn to love and to learn divine Love.  True love is divine Love and Love’s reflection, man.  True love is divine Love and Love’s expression, man as Christ-like.  True love is divine Love and Love’s manifestation, man expressing his true nature of Christliness.

The goal is to draw nigh to God, to really get our relationship with Him. True love for each other holds the standard of Christianity, morality, spirituality.  It does not crater to a crushed standard.  True love upholds a standard when the standing gets tough. True love strengthens others in times of wavering (fluid) theology, and fluid morals.

The goal of scripture is to strengthen us, -- to help us  stand against the “wiles of the devil”

[7]

, enabling us to see and feel the power of God, divine Love, and to know our relationship to the divine Being, -- through true identity, individuality, and normalcy.

A false sense of love lets one’s brother or sister take the wrong path, -- without warning.  It allows our friends and neighbors, our family, to go deeper and deeper into sin, disease, and death – without reaching out to save him through prayer and a higher understanding of God's power and presence.

We all can understand Love on the divine basis -- God or divine Love  --  perfect and whole, caring for His creation, man, and His creation caring for each other through this higher sense of divine Love!
